When to contact the Data Protection Officer?

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) can provide support in many areas but are you aware of what we do help with?

There are some more well-known areas of data protection that we would be called upon to advise such as subject access requests and breaches but DPO’s don’t only provide advice and support when things go wrong,

we are also here to help you make the right choices in your everyday work so that data you hold is as protected as it can be.

We also help in these areas:

  • Concerns over data sharing with other organisations
  • Questions from parents or anyone about how you are handling their data
  • Processing of data for HR purposes, including pre-employment
  • What data to collect on forms
  • The right questions to ask third-party contractors or suppliers
  • Any communications you’ve received from the ICO

So if you have any questions, or not sure about anything, please call us on 0800 0862018, raise a support ticket or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
