The DPE Retention Schedule

We recognised that a number of our customers needed a generic retention schedule to help get them started with their records management.

The retention schedule is available via the best practice menu if you are a customer.

The User Guide can be found under 'Using the Knowledge Bank':



The retention schedule will allow you to view generic retention schedules and copy them across to your own organisation as a way to produce your own retention schedule. It also gives you the ability to modify those copied records or add your own ones.

It might be that your organisation doesn't have a records management policy or data retention schedule, in which case you may not know what data you hold.  You might be holding personal data about someone that you shouldn't be.  Contact your data protection lead or DPO for further advice:
